Tennis & Personal Finance

What the court taught me about becoming your Personal CFO
Some lessons stay with you long after the scoreboard changes.
Tennis did more than keep me fit. It shaped how I think under pressure. It taught me discipline, patience, and respect for process lessons that stayed with me long after my playing years, from my time at Florida State University to competitive tournaments later in life.
Years on, working as a fee-only, SEBI-registered investment advisor, I often notice how closely personal finance mirrors the sport I grew up with. A recent win at the STEPAK Tournament brought that clarity back.
Standing on court, it was obvious: success whether in sport or finance is rarely about one big move.
It’s about preparation, consistency, and making the right decisions when it matters.
Here are the lessons tennis quietly taught me about managing money like a Personal CFO.
